How do you freeze your fruit at home?

Here’s what you need to do step by step:

  • Select Fruits: Select the fruits you want to freeze. Fresh and ripe fruits give better results.
  • Wash: Wash and clean the fruits. Especially peel off the skins of the fruits.
  • Cut: Cut the fruit into the sizes you want. For example, cut strawberries in half or quarters.
  • Dry: Dry the fruit with a towel or paper towel. Let it dry to prevent its moisture from forming ice crystals in the freezer.
  • Freeze: Put dried fruit in freezer bags or containers. Seal the bags by deflating or freeze the containers tightly.
  • Freezing process: After the fruits are frozen, they will be frozen within 2-3 hours. After you take it out of the freezer, let the fruit sit for 5-10 minutes before using it so you can let it soften.

Note: When freezing fruit in the freezer, place the fruit in a single layer. By overlapping the layers, the fruits can stick together and more ice crystals can form.

After you freeze the fruit, you can use it in recipes such as smoothies, juices or ice cream. You can also freeze the fruits that are plentiful in their season, and enjoy the taste of fresh fruit in winter.
